Each year Earth Day passes by and we are briefly reminded of how important it is to protect and preserve the earth. In honor of Earth Day and in an attempt to keep the awareness alive for more than just today, we’d like to share a few fun ways for you and your family to get involved!
- Reduce, reuse, recycle! While many families do recycle, there are still many families that don’t participate. Recycling reduces waste in the landfills while reducing the consumption of raw materials and pollution.
- Get gardening! Earth Day is all about getting outside and getting your hands dirty. Teach your kids to take care of the earth by planting oxygen-producing plants.
- Take a hike! Ok, finding a hill in the level land of Viera may be a bit of a challenge, but you can check out the Wetlands, a local conservation area. Whether you choose to walk, hike, or bike, you’ll be reducing emissions and reconnecting with the beautiful earth!
