September is National Preparedness Month

September 16, 2015

For insurance agents the month of September is very important because we enjoy educating our policyholders on preparedness. We know that the best way to protect your family, property, and assets is to have a solid policy and be prepared for the worst. September is National Preparedness Month, this month we’ll be sharing several ways you and your family can become prepared for anything that may come your way.

There are many natural disasters that Florida is susceptible to that your family should be aware of and plan for they include:

  • Hurricanes
  • Tornadoes
  • Earthquakes
  • Wildfires
  • Floods

A homeowner’s policy will cover damage from all of these disasters excluding flood damage. That will require an additional policy. Understanding the environmental risks of living in Viera will help you and your insurance agent in crafting a policy that’s just right for your family, property, and assets.

Next week we will discuss how you can prepare your home and family for hurricanes, tornados, and floods. If you have any questions about how well your policy will cover damages from any natural disaster, please contact your Wayne Anthony Insurance Agent today.
